So what’s the kit? Good question. I’ve developed the kit for my goals…1000+whp and standing ½ mile speed of 180+mph…strong and reliable.

If you are serious about getting in on this group buy-in (which is awesome) then you get a one-on-one phone call with me. Let’s chat and make sure you understand what it takes to AWD Swap your car and what you want from your car is served well with the AWD Kit.
I have a private group for Contrive Customers. You will have direct access to me and like minded car guys/gals that want the same thing you do…a badass AWD Swapped Mazdaspeed 3. In that group you will have first access to further developments of the AWD Kit such as fitting Ford RS dampers to the OEM trailing arms, or new AWD Controller…ETC. You get first access and primo deals on those developments.
Lastly, your success is my success. Without you I don’t get to keep developing badass and unique parts for my racecar and the Mazdaspeed community.
BUT WHAT ELSE IS NEEDED? I get it so let’s address some big ones right here:
Very minimal fab work: The spare tire tub needs to be cut out to clear the rear differential and the MS3 rear trailing arms need machining but I have an in-house service I offer to solce that. After that its all bolt in parts.
OEM Parts to Source: CX7 rear subframe, swaybar and differential can be sourced from a junkyard, a speed 6 trans and T-case from a buddies blown MS6. Rear CX7 wheel bearings can be found cheap at any autoparts store.
Axles & Driveshafts: I have worked with DSS to develop direct fit performance options exclusively availabe through Contrive. 700hp rated rear axles or you can use the short side OEM MS6 rear axles. 700hp rated front axle option or 5.9 Kit. DSS mid-driveshaft gives you the option for an aluminum or carbon material or you can DIY it with the OEM MS6 and a local driveshaft shop. Note: the provided driveshaft mount is designed for DSS driveshaft therefore may not work with an OEM DIY setup.
Suspension: I have worked with Silver's Suspension to develop a direct fit coilover kit for the AWD converted Speed3 (Gen1 & Gen2). You will have the option to choose spring rates and standard or Swift springs.
Exhaust System: I will be developing a downpipe for the unique AWD fitment. The cat-back section of the exhaust is DIY; a local performance or exhaust shop can get you setup.
Fuel System: You can opt for a trunk mounted fuel cell like my racecar or go for an OEM style fuel tank. The target fuel tank is a similar year Volvo S40 AWD. This is in active development with the private group.
